A homegrown Japanese engineer with zero time abroad, after years struggling with English at a global firm, found the answer.
This app was built by a Japanese engineer who jumped into a global company without ever studying abroad or growing up overseas. In meetings he couldn't get across even half of what he wanted to say, and he couldn't break into the small talk. No matter how many textbooks he finished, the words wouldn't come when he opened his mouth—day after day.
After endless struggle, he arrived at a simple truth: only people who learn new expressions, use them a lot, and review their mistakes thoroughly—who keep that loop going—actually improve.
